Gateshead Quays, home to cultural icons like BALTIC and The Glasshouse, is set to expand with an International Conference Centre, Arena, and Hotels – delivered in partnership with Ask Real Estate and PATRIZIA UK. Just south, the 27-acre Baltic Quarter is a growing innovation district, home to a thriving tech community, Gateshead College, and key assets like PROTO (Europe’s first R&D centre for emerging tech) and Riga (Grade A offices).
Over £35m has been invested in infrastructure, including a new boulevard and parking. The area is connected to the Gateshead District Energy Network and equipped with ultra-fast broadband (up to 40gb/s). These developments are driving wider regeneration, including potential for 2,500 more homes in Gateshead town centre. The Council also offers ESG-focused policies and support for property, skills, and recruitment.
